Ripoff, Damaged my laptop and then said I spilled liquid on it

Circuit City's City Advantage is a complete rip-off. I purchased a Toshiba lapop in late 2004 and purchased the 4 year city advantage warranty. I had problems with the laptop overheating the early part of January. I took the laptop to circuit city, they said 7-10 business days and i will have the laptop back. Well it was shipped out on Jan 15th and I got it back Around Feb 10th. That's almost a month.

During the wait I called to check the status. I was told it took a while becuase they found problems with the Hard drive, dvd drive, motherboard, memory, wireless card, and battery and that they all had to be replaced. What else is left to replace? When I got the laptop back I turned it on and got NTLDR is mising. The laptop also came back with scratches on the top. I tried to reload using the original software, and an xp cd but the computer would just get hot and lock up, eventually the laptop just stopped turning on. I went back into circuit city, they check and said I have to send it back in for service.

OK I agreed to send it back in to service. I was told that the box will come the next day, nothing until the next 3 days. I shipped it out and they received it 5 days later on the 21st. I checked the status at www.cityassure.com and there were parts ordered. Now on the 24th I called to get an update, now the Rep (Larry) said that There was nothing done on the laptop. When I asked why, he stated that the service center found liquid damage and that I have to pay for service. I just got back the laptop from service and shipped it right back. Any liquid damage is from the refurbished parts they put in my laptop. So they damaged my computer and now they want me to pay for repairing it when they put replacement parts that had liquid damage already.

I am waiting to speak to a supervisor on this matter, and it they refuse to resolve this issue, I have a very good attorney to handle this matter. It is a shame that these companies try to see who they can pull one over on. Well They picked the wrong person this time and I'm not letting it go so easily.

So for all those out there, be careful with City Advantage and ciruit city they'll damage your product and then stick you with a bill.
