On Monday, January 16th I purchased 4 new Hankook Mileage Plus II H725 tires from Majortires.com. I used my checking account's debit card for the sale, and a draft for $258.80 was immediately debited from my account. Their website claims;

Orders are generally shipped via FedEx within 24 hours of receipt. Items which are not in stock at the time of order will generally ship within 48 hours. Special order items may take longer, and we will notify you by telephone or e-mail of any delays in the process.

Because of this policy I allowed ample time for shipment, but after eight days I decided to contact them to see if there was a problem. I left a message, and an unnamed representative contacted me shortly thereafter.

He explained that Majortires was very sorry about the delay, and that they would be sent out that day. I told him that would be fine as long as they were really being shipped that day. He assured me they would arrive within a couple of days.

Another week passed, and on Tuesday, January 31st I made an attempt to contact them again. I left a message every day for a week; however no one returned my calls this time.

By Monday, February 6th I had broken down and purchased the tires elsewhere, and by some amazing coincidence, a Majortires representative actually answered the phone that same day. I advised him that I no longer needed his merchandise, and he informed me that the order would be canceled, and the money would be returned to my account the next day.

The next day came and went with no credit to my account. I've called their phone number probably 50 times since then with no answer, and I've left at least 10 messages, some threatening legal action, but to no avail.

At this point, Wednesday, February 15 I have yet to receive merchandise or a refund. Whether this company is maliciously fraudulent or just lackadaisical, I would like to warn consumers to stay away and save yourself major frustration.
