Juanita M Atkerson ripoff, Juanita, a paralegal, cashed a check for $500 and never did any work. False promises

I paid a Paralegal $500 9/12/02 to process and file some legal paperwork. Juanita Moore 1536 W. Jacinto Avenue, Mesa AZ 85202,480-491-4438, has had my file since May and advised she would do some initial research free of charge in order to verify she was able to assist.

She advised for $500 she would process all the legal paperwork needed in order to obtain a favorable answer. Several times she stated she would have documents for me to sign and when I followed up they were never ready. She also stated that she had completed some work and had copies to prove what had been done.

The majority of my follow up calls were ignored and I finally asked for my file and my money to be returned, I got no response to the messages I left. I finally showed up at her house, she stated she needed to organize her notes and put my file back together.

After several excuses I finally received my file left under my door mat on January 31st, I called to leave her a message that I saw no copies of completed work she assured me she had done and also no refund. She promised I would receive certified copies off all her work by Monday February 3rd as she stated it had been mailed on January 31st.

I waited a week before calling her, my message was not returned. I called again a week later, no return call... (she has caller ID). I called her on Wednesday February 12th and blocked my number, she answered and hung up when she heard my voice. My friend called her later that evening from a different number and they talked.

Juanita then called me and arranged to meet on Saturday February 15th at 5pm... I waited for over an hour for her to show up, she didn't.

I sent her a letter advising my money be returned by the end of the month otherwise I will take this matter further.
