AOL - Time Warner
Ripoff dishonest fraudelent billing for dial-up/bring your own access plan

Internet & Web

AOL charged me OVER $400 dollars in 3 months time, after I Changed my plan from unlimited use to limited use for $14.95 a month. I have a BYOA (bring your own access plan). My internet is provided through high speed internet. AOL charged me for all the time I was online... Once I got Cable internet, I set up all the setting for AOL login to Cable and NEVER used a dial-up account with access numbers.
The plan I have states the following:

The $14.95 AOL with 10 Dialup Hours plan is ideal if you expect to use AOL most over a separate high-speed connection, or use AOL over a dialup connection for a limited number of hours each month. Your monthly membership fee of $14.95 includes 10 hours of dial-up access in addition to unlimited use of AOL over a separate high-speed connection.

Additional dial-up time will result in a $2.95 per hour charge, up to a maximum of $35.00 in hourly charges in addition to the monthly membership fee. If you already have high-speed connection, or prefer to get a connection from your local cable or DSL provider, this plan will give you unlimited access to exclusive AOL features and programming over any high-speed connection.

I used their live-help and they could only give me 2 months free service. $30 worth of service does NOT make up for over $400 charges. I then called AOL. Stil the offer was to provide additional months with no charge. Mind you, to purchase the yearly plan for AOL, it would only cost one hundred and something dollars... I need at least 3 years free service to make up this charge, which I would NOT accept! I plan on dropping the service as soon as I have another e-mail account in place.

One other thing, I have been an AOL user for over 10 years! This is injustice!!!
