Ripoff triple charged

On 12/9/05 I made a purchase on Sears.com and instead of having it shipped I clicked on the box to pick it up at my local store - East Northport. When I got home and received my email it was notifying me it was at of stock at that location. I then called Sears.com and asked if they had it at the Smithhaven location and they verified that it was available and I picked it up that evening and paid thru Sears.com using my check card.

This transaction completed on 12/12. On 12/16 there was still a hold on my checking account for a "pending transaction" for the original order that wasn't available at the East Northport Store. I called Sears.com to have them release the hold, this call took over and hour to get the $314 hold released and it entailed a 3 way call with Sears, my bank and myself. Not knowing that the phone call was going to take soooo long I was now late for my office Christmas party. What took so long you ask?

While I was on the phone trying to clear up the $314 - Sears charged me another $279 which was NOT authorized. The supervisor at Sears does not claim responsibility for this transaction and was not able to clear it up but I did get the $314 cleared up that night.

The next day - I went to my bank thinking that magic would have taken place overnight and somehow this would be able to be resolved. I now spent 2 hours at the bank and the CSR was speaking with Sears.com trying to resolve this with no luck in doing so. We did find out that the transaction originated from Waynesburg, PA. Very Strange! - I live on LI, NY. I contacted the Waynesburg PA location and they do not have any record of any transaction with my name or even that $ amount. I now am referred to Dealer Support who then referred me to National Customer Relations who then referred me to - SEARS.com! So bottom line - I am STILL going in circles 3 days later - Sears.com will not release the money they don't have an order for and neither will Waynesburg store!

I am now at the point where I keep going in circles and I can not get a resolution. I cannot get the money in my account released which belongs to ME and not Sears but yet Sears is holding the money for an order that doesn't exist at the store listed on the authorization! I will NEVER shop with Sears.com again! And to think this all started as a happy little Christmas present for my husband to put a:) on his face!
