Dell Financial Services
I.C. Systems, Bait & Switch on the NO interest til Called me up to 4x's perday & always said "It was a dialing error." Tech support people were untrained, couldn't fix my pc problem at all! Rip_off!

Internet & Web

My husband applied & was approved for a Dell Preferred account in Nov. 2004. So, we ordered our home system online, was told that we would have no interest until and thought we were getting a great deal.
The computer, printer, etc. Arrived and we were thrilled... At first.

Then about two weeks later, we started having a popup message about the USB port being unplugged. We went through all the steps of checking it on our own, then called Dell tech support. After holding for around fourty minutes, finally a live person answered. Long story short... An hour later after restarting, restoring, etc. Etc. And mundane other instructions from the tech support person, our computer still had that same message popping up! I was sick of being on the phone so long, and frustrated, so I just said I'd call back the next day.
I called again, and the same story exactly. Their techies aren't trained well enough!

Then we got the first bill. I said, "What the heck is this interest & finance charges on this bill?" Again, we called Dell and were informed that the no interest didn't apply to us. Alas, the old Bait & Switch.

That ticked me off. We sent in the first few months payments, then decided it was nasty of them to do that to us without notifying us before we ordered. So, we quit paying altogether.

Of course, the calls began asking for payments. I finally got sick of their calls and decided to go ahead and pay a few bucks here & there to suffice them & hopefully cut down the collection calls from "I.C. Systems, calling on behalf of Dell Financial."

Then, even though I was sending in payments, this company continued to call from 8am to 9pm seven days a week. They even ended up calling me up to 4 times per day! And, YES I was talking to the reps EVERY time they called. I kept asking why they were calling me again the same day, and their answer was always "It was a dialing error on our part." Then, even though I had already spoken to them at least once that same day, they would just jump right in to asking me when I would be sending payment, and harassing me to give them my checking acct # so they could do a direct payment over the phone. Finally, after days & days of repeat calls from them, I demanded to speak to a supervisor.

The supervisor again told me it was a dialing error. Imagine that. I then threatened a lawsuit for harassment and violation of federal laws against calling a person more than once per day, and the supervisor asked me to give him the name & number of my attorney! I was furious, and said goodbye.

That was the last call from that company, but now another company has my account to collect the payments on. We'll see what happens with this one...

Just don't buy a DELL, and if you do, be prepared to take your computer to a repair store to get it fixed because Dell sure won't fix it. And, don't believe what they say when they assure you that you won't pay any interest until the next year or longer. They lie to sell! Period.
