Rip off for 1 call dated 10/17 for internet access at 10:43P.M. Totaling 46.60

I received a bill in the mail for $46.60 for one call dated 10/17 at 10:43 P.M. After several calls trying to obtain who this bill belonged to, I received no satisfaction. They stated that the charges could not be removed, that their software indicated that the call came from our telephone number. I tried to call the telephone number that we supposedly called, but there was never anyone there. Just a message stating that no one was available and to leave a contact number and someone would get back to us. I called at different times during the day, same thing.

I am not paying the bill. I tried to be polite and explain that this is an early rising home, and no one repeat no one would be on the phone at 10:43 at night much less the computer. They just kept repeating that the charges were traced to out number and could not be removed. I tried to ask for a supervisor, and was disconnected both times.

Has anyone ever paid these individuals? I finally told them that I thought that their bill was a scam, and I really didn't care if their hardware, software, or underwear indicated I owed them $46.60, they were not getting a dime.
