I guess this company www.yp.com cant get customers the legal way so they have to trick you. BEWARE of www.yp.com... They will send a $ 3.25 check. If you are stupid enough, and that is what they plan on, you will cash or deposit the check thinking you get a free wopping $3 dollars. But if you look closely this con artist of a company bills you $27.95 for an internet ad and bills your phone company. Of course they tell you to call to cancel 12o days after... Which they know the credit cards wont honor because you have 90 DAYS to dispute a charge... So you will never see a refund.
They get their customer list with the cooperation of the phone companys and the phone companys get at portion so they are co-conspirators. Looks like FRAUDCOP will have to sue them too and turn them over to the FTC. The problem for yp.com is that we take photos of the owners, the employees and put all this information on our site. THank God for Rip off report. We will sue them to eliminate this "get the moron" money.
Believe it or not, there are so many people who cash the checks. It says on the back the deal of paying $27 a month but in very little print and tricky suckers.
THe biggest scam that is perpetuated by idiots who fall for it. Beware of free money. Nothing is Free.
