Aol
Charged $50 to card for canceling service

Internet & Web

My mother used regular internet service thru AOL for several months. She did not receive a modem from the company or sign a contract. She was not satisfied with their service and called to cancel. They said there would be a $50 charge for canceling and did indeed charge her card.

She disputed the charge with her credit card company and it was eventually credited.

The matter is resolved, but I wanted people to know that AOL is stealing from them.in my moms case, she is older and would probably have let them cheat her had I not stepped in.

Beware of aol!!!
