Another in rip off story

In response to another story I read here:
I purchased a computer from Best Buy on Hanes mall Blvd in Winston Salem NC. I had many of the same problems as the author of the other writer, however I have had many more. Probably 15 or 20!! First off, the purchase, promised as a package (on paper) was written up separately, thereby making it extremely difficult to get any components replaced. IE: keyboard, modem, etc.

It seems as though Best Buy has found a nitch. You see, their warranty does not cover software issues and EVERYTHING is a software issue. The keyboard not functioning is a software issue, the modem not functioning is a software issue, the motherboard not functioning is a software issue, etc. (None of these are actually software issues. That's just their way of getting out of it.) There are some really nice techies working there but they have orders. Don't yell at the messenger. The problem is management and above.

PS their phone test line used for testing computers is reverse polarity. 95% of the homes in America are positive polarity. I brought in a tester and proved this to them. What does this mean to you? If your modem only works in reverse polarity (rare probably, but it happened to me), it will work perfectly at Best Buy, but not at your home!!! I installed phone jacks for over a year, It's simple phone knowledge. A negative polarity line may cause all sorts of problems in your home. Which leads us to another question: Why is their line negative?

The solution to all these problems is build your own computer (which is vastly cheaper and better) or go to a reputable dealer that specializes in computers and computers only. Not one who boasts the newest Backstreet Boys CD, washers, dryers, and TVs.

I paid someone else to fix my computer. I only posted to vent frustrations that resurfaced when I read the other story. I am not seeking reinbursement, only revenge.
