Ripped me off, Charged me $200 for puuting in fan and hinges on old laptop, scratched up unit

I brought my old Compaq laptop to TTS Business Products at 325 Nassau Blvd.in Garden City South to have a new fan and hinges installed. I provided hinges (some internet site sold me 2 used hinges for $80); fan I purchased from HP. Owner of TTS Business Products (Anthony P Casillo) did not have any parts.

He (Anthony) 'technician' took the laptop and handed me paper that said "bench fee" $100.00. I asked him what that was, some woman behind counter said I had to pay that; I refused. This 'bench fee'was supposed to be deducted from final cost of repair. (never was)

When my unit was 'ready' I paid around $200.00 even though I provided all parts; also 'bench fee' was never deducted from my final cost.

When I got home I inspected unit; cover was wobbly and loose and there were 4 or 5 deep scratches on top of unit (metal cover) I asked 'Tony' why he scratched up unit, he said he did not do that; he is very careful and works on $2,000.00 machines all the time; he also said he has been fixing laptops for 25 years (Did they have laptops 25 years ago; I think not!)

Anyway way, after a few weeks, unit was more lopsided then before so I took it back to him. He told me (after supposedly taking unit apart) that the hinge broke off - he asked me 'what did I do to it?'

Anyway this guy is a scumbag and I would advise everyone Not to take any computer into this shop. The guy is incompenent and your unit will be all filthy (lcd all filthy) and scratched up when you get your unit back more screwed up them before you brought it in.
