Guadalupe Montoya Impact455 E-bay thief fraudulant seller Ripoff

Fair warning to all who shop on E-Bay! The seller IMPACT455 is a thief! There is no other way to put it!

I bid on what the seller, Imapct455 (Guadalupe Montoya) claimed was a valuable first edition of the children's classic, "Charlotte's Web" I won the auction with a bid of $200. Upon receipt of the book from IMPACT455, I promptly noted that it was not a first edition at all. It was quite obvious as the first edition of this book is easy to identify.

I gave the seller the benefit of the doubt thinking it might be an honest mistake. However after 5 unanswered e-mails it quickly became obvious that the seller knew eactly what he was doing and never intended to sell what was represented, but instead to try to pass of a worthless copy!

A report was filed with E-Bay, which the seller also ignored, repeatedly and refused to respond to.

The seller finally responded on the 5th e-mail by stating that they would refund my money, minus a SUBSTANTIAL portion for "handling fees", if I mail the book back (at my expense, of course). This is total BS as the price I paid did not include any shipping and handling fees. This is extortion, plain and simple. There is no chance that if I return that book there will be any refund forth coming. The seller will simply pull the same scam on the next un-suspecting buyer!

The worst part of all this, E-bay has done nothing to this low-life seller! The seller is permitted to continue to sell on E-Bay, even though this loser has REFUSED to deal with a buyer that they have clearly RIPPED-OFF!

Scum like this make the internet such a rotten place to make purchases. Sure, I will get some of my money back from E-Bay eventually, but not after jumping through hoops to get it. I filed a complaint with law enforcement but as you all know, these things take time to prosecute.

In the meanwhile, this thief, IMPACT455 (Guadalupe Montoya) is permitted to continue to steal from others with counterfeit mechandise. They have already had additional complaints from other hapless buyers too!

I post this in the hope of saving others the headaches of having to deal with such an unscrupulous seller.

Be aware the seller also goes by the name Chris Montoya, as well as Guadalupe Montoya, and IMPACT455.
