Ripoff Outragious Billing Practices, Unrequested services

Internet & Web

At the end of Sept. Or begining of Oct. 2004 I signed up for AOL's FREE Trial of Call Alert.

I was then notified by my Phone Co., (AOL had contacted them) there would be additional charges on my phone bill. I declined this service and just let the Call Alert trial expire.

In Jan. Of 05, I receive my bank statement. There are two (2) charges from AOL 1. My basic service and 2. Premium service? On 1/25/05 I called AOL to cancel my service and question the Premium Service, this turned out to be Call Alert! (for 2 months)

On 1/27/05 I signed on to AOL to Uninstall there programing as I had canceled on 1/25. I received a statement dtd 3/4/05 for more $ from AOL. So I called. Per the Rep., that 5 minutes on AOL to uninstall cost me 1 full months fee plus the Call Alert. To me this is a total ripoff. Money for nothing.

I paid my bill to protect my credit as I've heard stories.

In my opinion AOL is NOT about the service...
In my opinion AOL is ALL about the MONEY...
