Ripoff hear it from the inside

At present I'm John Doe, here to let people know whats going on behind those managers doors at Circuit City. I am currently an employee with the company and have been for over a year now. I simply cant tolerate the lies and scamming this companies pulls off every day.

I made a purchase at Circuit City and yes I took the warranty as well. When the item stopped working, I called the service number and was told it was not covered under my PC warranty from Circuit City. Now, when a processor melts because the fan stopped working, I do believe this is suppose to be covered under hardware issues. I informed the lady on the phone that I was an employee of Circuit City, which got me nowhere

With that being said, let me tell you guys whats really going on here. The City Advantage Warranty is nothing more than a con. The Managers refers to it as "Pure Profit". Their rule is, deny all claims until the customer stops calling. Its plain and simple. We are told, by our Managers and Store Manager to tell the customer whatever it takes to get them to buy the warranty.in reality, the only thing truly covered is the hard drive in a computer, or the power switch on a TV. DVD players, nothing is covered.

Another area of "Pure Profit" is the so called PC installation and repairs. None of these people are computer technicians and none of them are qualified to be opening your computers. Well, maybe a few of them are. This practice of PC installations is a complete rip-off. Charging 20$ to press next, 3 times.

I can no longer continue to work for this company. I realize I may be setting myself up for legal action by the company, but somone needs to put these people in their place. Trust me on this people, they have many other scams... One last example. Many of those "Brand New" TV's and PC's you buy, are simply returned items re-packaged. I know this, I've had to re-seal many camera boxes so they could be sold as new. I wont even get started on how they treat their employee's, I'll save that for another day.
