Internet & Web

Yeah, I was STUPID, and a little naive...

In mid August last year, I purchased a marketing course (Jay Abraham) from a seller on eBay. After the purchase, I was sent a message from the seller (Michelle) stating that she and her husband (Terrell) were selling other items related items from the same author.

Of course I was interested!

They sent me a list via email (it was quite a long list), and asked me to decide on what I wanted - it would save them having to take photos and write up descriptions for every item that they had (as they would eventually sell them on eBay, anyway).

After a couple of weeks of me saying I wanted this, and then changing my mind and saying that I wanted something else, as well, Michelle wrote to me and asked if I just wanted the whole lot. "heck, I might as well, " I thought

The price was decided at $2,500 for the whole lot, including the item I had purchased on eBay (that's how much Damien was willing to part for it. Yes, until I 'found out' that his real name was Terrell, I always knew him as Damien)

I agreed.

They sent me 3 Paypal invoices over the next couple of weeks, to allow me to put the money together.

When I finally paid them off, they refunded the whole lot and told me that Paypal had suspended the account. I would need to pay via telegraphic Transfer.

I agreed. The full amount was paid in late September.

Then Damien suggested that I should have a website put together (which I agreed with). He offered to do it, and would hire the copywriters to create the newsletters and ebook. The site would generate profits in the first month of operation, and I would make my investment back in few months - guaranteed. He would give me exclusive rights to "The copywriting encyclopedia", and would pay for advertising of the website.in return, when I was established, I would allow him to sell some of his products (if I felt they fit the needs of my subscribers).

He hinted that the cost would be well over $10,000, but when I told him that I didn't have that much money to spend on a website, he asked me how much I *could* spend. We agreed on $5,300 (and I felt grateful at the time).

He told me that it would take a few weeks to put everything together.

I recieved via fax the next day, a home drafted agreement stating that Damien O'Rourke would develop the website, and I would make back my investment with 120 days. I signed and faxed back to him. I then TT'd $5,300 (Regions Bank). This was mid September, and I had just recieved a single package from them (it contained less than a 1/10th of what we had agreed on, but they informed me that I should be recieving some more, very soon)

Anyway, after about a month, I asked them about the delay for the other packages. I recieved another package about a week later. It too contained very little.

Damien then came down with Epstein Barr, and couldn't work (which was also the reason they weren't responding to my regular emails).

Also, I learnt that they had moved because the landlord had increased the rent (which explains the month and a half they had not responded to my emails).

Now, they are *apparently* living in Livingston.

I now have no contact details for them, outside of their email address.

It's NOW 5 months since I paid them over $7,500. The sum worth of what they have sent me is valued at about $350. None of the valuable stuff is here.

Any suggestions would be more than appreciated.

Last words: Don't deal with Life becoming (the account I transferred the funds to), Terrell Boyle, or Michelle Parker, unless you have some deep pockets, and want to fund the lifestyles of the dishonest and unscrupulous.
