Macafee
MAcafee refuses to leave my laptop and slows it

I tried to unistall the Macafee antivirus many times without success. Eventually I installed RevoUninstaller. The uninstaller worked but the Macafee icon keeps, from time to time, appearing on my task bar and when it does, it slows my laptop badly. It feels like the Macafee products have stuck something evil in the laptop. I am fed-up. How will I ever recommend Macafee to anyone with such ridiculous service.
