Ripoff, fraud by installing dialer program on computer and calling pay site in Great Britan

This is early in the process but so far my experiance is identical to the others listed here. Here is the text of my complaint that I sent to them. One addition is that I too have discovered a problem. I recieve an error message stateing that my MXMIDI (sound) program had performed an illegal action and my AOL sofware then have to be purged and reloaded.

To whom it may concern,
Today I received an invoice #345511 on an account # 970872668017 (see photo copy of invoice enclosed) for a supposed access of a web site on November 2 from my home phone and computer. This is definitely in error and though I was definately on line doing election research at the time listed I did not and have never knowingly agreed to any billing by a pay web site on that or any other date. No one else besides myself had access to the internet on this computer during the evening in question (Election night). Thus I am concerned that this is an attempt at fraud by a website (you? Your client?) that somehow obtained my phone number while I was on line. Being a professional journalist I am of course very curious on how this may have come about.

Please inform me by mail that you have corrected this error and enclose any information you might want to share on the nature of problem. A copy of this letter and the enclosed invoice has been sent, along with my signed statement and complaint, to the area District Attorney's office.
