Somerset Ridge Nursing Home A Death Sentence for Loved Ones

Here's a horror story for you. First of all, if you are considering Somerset Ridge, I wouldn't drop my dog off there for the day... My Mother had alzheimer's and my sister, in her infinite wisdom and armed with power of attorney, decided that this was the place. Without looking carefully at the reputation and track record and being blinded by a vacant bed, the decision was made.

Isn't it funny that her retirement coincided with this decision? Hmmm... Well, 18 months later and bunches of urinary tract infections, illnesses, drug overdosing etc., my Mom finally succumbed almost as an escape from this hell made of blocks. I can't even imagine how she felt when she died alone and scared... I will make it my lifelong obligation to tell the world this story.
