Beware - they don't warn you if they send you to out of network providers!

My husband had to get a Prostrate Biopsy. We have Aetna Insurance and this provider is in Network.

We had both lost our jobs for a bit so money is DEF an issue. We were given a choice of either 7 Rivers or Lecanto Surgery Center. He went to Lecanto Surgery Center and we were told our co-pay was like $190.00 by Lecanto Surgery Center. We paid it. We have since received a bill for $555.00 from the surgery center and an additional $175.00 from the anestheologist because they are not in network. I called Advanced Urology and was told that they do not work with ANYof our In network facilities. When I called Aetna (my insurance) they said that although it would have been NICE of the Dr. To let us know that it was going to cost us this much & it is not necessary. So... We have many, many bills to pay and its a struggle. They KNEW we had Aetna... Why did they not let us know? I would have gone elsewhere.
