Cheated me out of 50 pills exactly half of the 100 I was supposed to receive without checking

I went to this pharmacy to get my prescription refilled. I handed the woman working at the front my old bottle and she said it wouldn't be long so I waited.

After I paid for them I briefly checked the bottle and it said 100 1mg xanax pills. That is what I get every month. 100 pills.

I was out all day and the pills were with me. When I got home and took the bottle out of the bag to take one i noticed it didn't look right. I then counted them and only 50 pills were in the bottle.

The pharmacy was closed by then so i called the next day and the man i spoke to told me to come in monday, this happened on a friday, and speak to the people who were working when i was there.

I went in Monday with my bottle and explained the situation to the woman who said she filled it. She claimed she double counted them and there was nothing she could do. I asked if she could check the inventory or anything and said they don't do that.

Either she missed counted or took half for herself so it wouldn't mess up their pill count. I need those pills and now i only have enough for half a month.

This has never happened there before but it was always the same man that filled my scripts. This woman i never saw before.
