Three months ago, we updated our membership. At the time, we were told that it would cost $5 more per month, which we agreed to do. Prior to this we had our dues being taken out of our checking account, $9 for my wife and $15 for myself. Upon doing the update, we had the new contract amounts deducted from a credit card, $14 for my wife and $20 for myself. We were told that the old contract would be terminated and those payments would stop.

The next month, the payments continued and we informed the gym (La Mirada, CA) about it. They said they would check on it. The next month, it happened again, we brought down bank statements and credit cards and a written explanation. Again, told that they would check on it and let us know. No response. The third month, nothing has changed.

I have now gone to the bank and had them cancel the $9 and $15 charges. I then went to the gym to tell them again about the problems. The bald headed man who was working on this referred me to another lady up front. At this time, I was told that the $14 and $20 amounts are in addition to the $9 and $15, which is not correct. I went to complain again to the bald headed man who seems to run the place. He was on the phone with his wife so I hung up the phone on him and told him we needed to get this staightened out. He became very angry and I could see he could become very violent, so I left. You have a serious problem having this type of person in that position at the gym. I would expect this problem to be corrected ASAP.
