Ripoff scammed me and robbed me for as much as they could

Health & Medicine

I was going through a tough time with how I look. I wanted to find away to improve myself. I went into Bally's looking for a basic membership to their gym. I sat down with this guy named Justin. I told him that I wanted to join Bally's, but wanted a basic membership.

I wasn't sure what that consisted of so I asked him. He said that it was a ONE YEAR contract and that I could go to any Bally's I wanted. I don't travel, but since it was in the basic membership, I agreed. He also said it came with six personal training sessions. I was also to get some kind of health package with it (which I never received).

He said I didn't need to put any money down. My total was $64.00 a month (I joined in April). After I signed the contract, Justin decided to tell me that I had to put $100 down! I agreed even though I was told earlier that no money down was needed.

Well, I started going to work out. I have an eating disorder, so mirrors are not exactly on my side. Well this Bally's was covered in all mirrors. I called the supervisor and told him that I could not work out there. I explained to him why. He told me basically that that was too bad that I had signed a THREE year contract. I was stunned. I was told it was only for ONE year. He said no, it was for three. I was willing just to let it go and suck it up that I would lose 64.00 a month for a year, but three years!!! I didnt think there was anything I could do, so even though I was sick about it, I didn't do anything.

About eight months later, my aunt and her husband joined. Between the two of them, they pay $65.00 a month. I asked them why their membership was so cheap. They said they didnt have the membership where you could go to any Bally's in the nation. I have never been on an airplane. I don't travel. I had asked the Bally employee Justin for a BASIC membership and he left me to believe that all memberships were national. They also only had three personal training sessions. Justin told me that the basic membership came with six. I called and questioned them. The lady acted like I was a total fool. She was very unprofessional and ignorant. She "couldn't recall" the price of a Bally's membership without the national membership. Whatta load of crap. She would be singing a different tune if the tables were turned.

To this day, I never got two of the six personal training sessions, nor did I get my health package, but yet I still have to pay for them! I am sick about having to pay $64.00 a month for another two years for something I don't use. I refuse to go back there and I tell everyone I know what a scam they are!!!
