I am in the open enrollment period before my 65th birthday when I am eligible for Medicare. I have been looking into several different insurance supplements to Medicare. I did not understand that Humana would replace Medicare. That was not explained to me. I, also, did not realize I had enrolled in Humana by just talking to them. Consequently, I am now trying to get a disenrollment letter from them and I have enrolled in another plan that goes with Medicare not replacing it, which is what I wanted. I called Medicare. They told me that I had to be disenrolled from Humana before I could be enrolled in the plan of my choice. I don't think Humana treated me fairly. It was like they were more concerned about money and their company than they were about people. I need that disenrollment letter NOW.
