Gold's Gym
Keeps Charging Me After Multiple Cancellations!

I am not sure if I have ever experienced such incompetency as what I have at Gold's Gym, in Buffalo, MN. The gym was okay while I was going there, but very humid and hot with no air conditioning (or it was just not on?), which is very odd for a gym and made working out extremely uncomfortable. My reason for canceling, however, is because I did not have time to attend. I believe the last time I set foot in the gym was September or early October.

When I called to cancel, they told me I would have to come in and I told them I did not have time, which is my reason for canceling in the first place. The girl who answered the phone checked with the manager to see if faxing a verification was okay, and when she got the okay I was faxed a cancellation form which I faxed back in November. I understood their ridiculous cancellation requirements of paying the following thirty days and didn't even complain when they charged me an ADDITIONAL annual fee charge in November, even though I hadn't been there in over a month.

I was pretty upset when I received a charge in January, and the manager was unavailable for the dispute and never returned my call. I disputed it with my credit card, and they of course granted the dispute.

You can imagine my frustrations when in February I was charged TWICE. When I called the gym, some guy named 'Brandon' picked up and said his manager was not there. He said that they charged me twice because the charge in January was returned. He stated the manager would return my call yesterday. I did not receive a phone call.

If they charge me again, my lawyers will be dealing with this. I have wasted way too much time on this Gym's stupidity and disregard for good business practices. If my lawyer has to deal with this, they will be comping me for my time spent as well.
