Understaffed, poorly trained, very rude, ignores phones to close early

Do not use this pharmacy!!! They are understaffed and poorly trained.

They have a habit of not answering their phones within an hour of closing time. They will not even pick up the line to place you on hold. They ignore the ringing phones, apparently so they have no more work and can leave early. I called three times and waited 10-15 minutes and nobody picked up. The store manager confirmed that the employees were there and the lines were ringing. He even paged them and told them they had a customer calling and they still didn't pick up the phones. There is no excuse for this terrible customer service. I have been a general manager in a busy retail store and there is always time to pick up the phone and ask the caller to hold, or explain it might be a few minutes before you can get back to the line, but assure the caller they will not be forgotten or ignored.

It is OBVIOUS that the employees working the evening shift want to make sure they can cruise through the last hour or so with no additional work. Maybe they even leave early. Whatever the case, it is horrible and even the store manager on duty was appalled. Unfortunately, he was the only employee working the register in the front due to it being within an hour of closing time and was unable to physically go back and confront the lazy pharmacy staff. He tried to get them to do their jobs, and was dismayed when I called back again to let him know that paging the people in the back was pointless. Sadly, the store and pharmacy have separate management teams and there was nothing he could do other than to relay my complaint to the store and pharmacy general managers in the morning. He was a nice young man and sounded about as fed up with the bums in the pharmacy as I was.

Also, forget about the SINGLE LANE DRIVE THROUGH unless you have 45 minutes to sit behind the parked car in front of you.

Every time I have been in the store and had to wait in line, there is always someone complaining about the service. Literally every time. Shameful.

There is also a particular Asian female employee (no racial prejudice intended, just an identification factor for those who know who I am speaking of) there that will chastise you for certain prescriptions and lecture you on why your doctor should not prescribe, when it is only her business to confirm, fill, and accept payment. She will literally give you a lecture when you don't ask a question. I feel it is discrimination, and it is embarrassing because she is LOUD. She actually asked me, "Did your doctor prescribe THIS?!" insinuating that I may have altered the script in some way. I informed her it was none of her business why my doctor prescribed it. I invited her to contact the doctor, who I have been seeing for 17 years to verify if she had any questions. For her to raise her eyebrow at me and loudly stating that she thought I was forging prescriptions is totally uncalled for. Even worse, I have had the same script filled there for over a year. I have heard this same female employee lecture other patients too, loud enough to hear what meds they are taking. Isn't there a privacy law in place that is supposed to prevent this type of thing from happening? Most people, especially those that take scripts for sensitive or potentially embarrassing personal issues don't like it announced to the world.

This pharmacy is terrible, but store employees are nice. I don't have a problem shopping in the store itself, and have not really had problems there. Just don't use the pharmacy! Ever! I have had all of my prescriptions transferred. I suggest you do the same, or don't even go there in the first place!
