LA TAN black mailing customers

Received a letter in the mail today from LA Tan, a company which I have not used for three years. The letter tells me that I have a past due balance that needs to be addressed. But, as a VIP member, if I come in and resign a contract with them, all is forgiven. If not, they are sending me to collections. The letter goes on to tell me that if I go to their Lake Zurich location by Jan. 1 and pay the past due balance, they will give me a free tan. I have sent an email to their office and will be contacting the BBB.
