What they advertised as free supplies and postage to mail rose catalogs has so far cost me $17.00. Ripoff

Business & Finance

I answered an ad from The Family Handyman Magazine listed under HELP WANTED. The ad reads:

$1000's WEEKLY mailing beautiful rose catalogs!
Free supplies/postage! RBM-H Rush self-addressed,
stamped envelope: RBM-H Box 759, Lake Zurich,
Illinois 60047-0759

Instead of receiving free supplies and postage, I received a letter, and an application requiring a $15.00 fee plus $2.00 to have my first set rushed to me by FIRST CLASS PRIORITY MAIL!

This is the 4th paragraph of the letter I received.

Fill out the application form and mail it today! When we receive it we will RUSH you your first set of mailing materials which includes names and addresses printed on peel and stick labels, postage stamps, beautifulrose catalogs, envelopes, and complete instructions so you can get started! Because of high advertusung, printing, and mailing costs, we must require a $15.00 application fee which is COMPLETELY REFUNDABLE! If you are not satisfied with our program when you receive it, just return all of the materials for a refund of the $15.00 fee.

They also asked me how many I could mail out in a week and I said 2, ooo. They sent me a total of 5 stamps, 5 envelopes, 5 address labels, 2 - 1 page order sheets for roses, and another order form for me to purchase the mailing labels / listings, rubber stamp and ink pad.

I want my $ back!!
