Core Concepts
Hatton Holdings Shady business practices. Unresponsive to inquiries, unprofessional

Health & Medicine

No matter what Mountainside Fitness says, they and Core Concepts are related.
Hatton Holdings owns them both. After 6 months of trying to end a personal training contract which I could no longer afford or use, a nasty man from TSI Collections threatened and yelled at me on the phone. I explained that I had been in contact with both Mountainside and Core Concepts and was waiting for a reply. My paperwork was conveniently "lost" for months while one of their trainers was selling my sessions for cash to other members. He was later fired. My sessions were reinstated however after going through 5 or 6 trainers (each with spotty availability) and now this, I just wanted out.

I offered to pay the 25% buyout but they "had to talk to corporate". Whether the trainer did or not contact anyone up the ladder I do not know since none of the Core Concept personel ever updated me by phone or email. But I do know that I am being harrassed and threatened at work by their TSI hatchet man. The hatchet man told me my response was to be sued personally and professionally. I made one final attempt to resolve the matter with a third representative of Core Concepts only to be told sorry, we want it all. Yes bad things happened. Yes we should have told you. No we are not willing to do anything in an way, shape or form to resolve the matter or make amends for unprofessional, discourteous behavior.

It is unfortunate that customer appreciation and service does not exist with this company of mysterious layers of insulation between Hatton Holdings and their subsidiaries. I had been a member since this gym opened and had utilized Core Concepts the entire time. I stayed through influx of kids in the summer, the out of order equipment, the "Sorry, we are out of towels", the absence of a cleaning staff, trainer after trainer leaving, etc. The thanks I get is unreturned phone calls, harrassment, and condescending treatment. Oh and is it fraud if a company member sells my sessions, keeps the cash, and conveniently misplaced my contract?

What an I going to do... I have no idea
