Poor Supervision and Care

My wife's father was admitted to this Facility and they were warned of his condition. As a result of them not taking this into consideration he fell and fractured his hip and had to have surgery. They never contacted any family member to inquire about his condition after his fall or surgery. We met with them after he was relleased from the hospital and they admitted to us that his condition when he arrived at their facility was more extreme than the information they had received.instead of advising us of this at that time they accepted him anyway. Had they been honest with us we could have made arrangements to move him somewhere else where he could be closely supervised.in our meeting they also sited a paragraph in their Facility policy that stated that they could not be held responsible for accidents such as falls, etc. This was the first time this was brought to our attention as when my father-in law was admitted we waited on the Admission's Consultant for an half hour and when we inquired as to her whereabouts, we were told she had left to go pick up her car. So we never reviewed the policy with anyone. I guess that her car was more important than my wife's father. I would not advise anyone to even think about having their family member admitted to this facility as it is apparent to us that based on the treatment we received and the negelent care my father-in law received that this facility does not put their residents or their families first.
