Dr. Nayadee Attempted to rip me off of about 2,000 dollars

On the day of May 7 in the afternoon I decided to do something that alot of people do, look for a new dentist.

My dentist had moved far away from me, which made me think about getting a new dentist: one that is closer to me.

I went in because, I wanted to get my wisdom teeth removed since I am 22 years old and I am feeling some come and go pain in that area.

The technician girl gave me two xrays, the dentist a young and attractive lady, checked my teeth and told me that I have eight (8) cavities. Once she told me that, I remember holding my hands to my face and feeling really scared.

At the time that she told me this, I believed her for about 15 minutes and then I had doubts. I was thinking in my head, (this is weird, I never eat candy, I never had a cavity in my life, perhaps I should get another opinion just to confirm that they are not trying to rip me off).

So, I told the technician girl in spanish "Can I have a copy of that paper*, because you guys are kind of expensive and I want to shop around for other options or perhaps go to Jackson Hospital since they do offer services on a sliding scale basis of the patients income"

*"that paper"- refers to the document they had shown me with the estimate and location of all my fictional cavities.

They were giving me an estimate for 160.00 per cavity, for eight (8) cavities that is a total of 1,280.00 dollars.

In addition, to 500.00 for each bottom wisdom teeth and 250.00 for each top wisdom teeth.

They also charged me for the first consultation and xrays, which was 65.00.
I paid them the majority in cash and a portion with my American Express card. I regret paying them moslty in cash because I was only able to recover the charge amount on my Amex.

I went to my dentist, whom, I have been going to since I was 7 years old.
I told her "ok. I'm really here because I went to this dentist by my house and they claim that I have 8 cavities, and I just want you to confirm."

She tells one of her technician girls to xray me, so I have to get xrays again.
Because the Nayade Morell staff were not willing to give me my xrays, they said that they would gladly give me copies for 40.00 dollars, and I said no thats ok.
One of the receptionist at the Morell scam place said "well you can ask the dentist but I really doubt that she will do this for you" I told them, if its of so much importance that people don't keep these documents I can give you my drivers license as a way to show that I will come back to give you my xrays and to retrieve my license.
They didn't accept my offer and they were really shady, because they never gave me the opportunity to speak to the dentist like they said they would.

Anyhow, my regular dentist said "Joel you only have one cavity, and its so tiny that I think I want to give it time to see how it may progress"

I was so happy that she said that to me because I just had a feeling these people by my house at 916 sw 67 ave that there intentions were to rip me off.

They share a space with some sort of message therapy, it is in the shopping center with a Winn dixie, taco bell, and an arby's right in front of them.

I wanted to share this information to the public, because I am a college student and work part time job with the local government and live on a fixed income in a primarily Hispanic neighborhood. And, if they are willing to do this to me then they are willing to do this rip off scheme to pretty much anyone.
