$78.41 taken from me because I didn't timely cancel

I signed up for a free trial for $4.87 shipping fee and exactly 7 days later I was charged $78.41. I called to find out why and was told I was supposed to call and cancel within 7 days and it said so in the fine print I agreed to. I asked for a refund and I was told there was no way to do so. I asked for a supervisor explaining that I couldn't afford it, but to no avail. Please don't even get started with this completely bogus company.
