Insurance scam, stole money after cancelation, refused to refund, do not pay these people!

Health & Medicine

In March I got a fax at work talking about an insurance program that I desperatly needed. I called them and they told me that they could get me insurance coverage not just a discount program but real insurance for just $199 a month with a sign up fee of $125. It sounded to good to be true but I after looking over all of my other choices I agreed. I allowed the to take the money out of my checking account. The next month I had not recieved a card or any information from them I got worried and called them. They assured me that was fine and they would send out another card to me I did get a welcome package that it was supposed to include my insurance card, summary of benifits and a free discount card. I looked at the benifits and it was not what I was told it would be. I called the number on the letter 1-877-378-9240 and could not get through so I called the person that signed me up since I still had his number. He said that there had been an error and that this was only part of the program he said I was inrolled in two different parts this one and an actual insurance program that would adjust the totals down to what he had promised. Being a little weary I did not fill in teh monthly credit card authorization form and continued to try to call the other number. I could not get through. They continued to take money out of my account and I did not want to loose the insurance if it was real so I waited and tried to get someone to talk to me. (I know that was not very smart but hindsight is just that). Anyway at the end of May I finally got someone to talk to me and I told them that I did not have a card that would cover the insurance as promised by the other guy and they said they would send out a new card. (I just got the card yesterday almost a month later.) Anyway I tried to go to the doctor with the phone number they told me to use for claims on the 22nd. My doctor informed me that I had been scammed that he had never heard of them and that I would have to pay in full. I called the (877)-378-9240 number again and told them that I was aware of the scam and that I wanted to cancel and I wanted my money back. They told me to fax a cancelation to 1-909-287-0768 or email a cancelation to cancel@cbmtpa.com I could not get into the email so I faxed over a cancelation (which they claim they never recieved). Then on the 23rd after I spoke to them they took another $199 out of my account. They had never done it so early in the month before so I know they did it because I was cancelling. Another note if I had recieved the card that they sent that I got yesterday I would have known well in advance that this was not insurance and would have canceled along time ago so I have to think that they did not send it in order to continue the scam a little longer. I have spoken to them again today 6/30 and they claim that they are processing a refund and I will get it in 13 to 30 business days but they are only refunding the $199 that they just took out. Do not let them get your information they will rip you off!!!
