Fraudulent use of credit card

I responded to a free trial offer to a teeth whitening system for $1 plus shipping and handling ($5.85). I received the product with an invoice for $5.85 marked paid. I opened the package and saw a trial size offer of the teeth whitening system. I set it aside to try when I had the time. 2 weeks later I noticed a charge from Extremewhite for $79.95! I contacted them immediately and told them I did not authorize this charge. They said I did when I received the trial offer.

Lo and behold I took out the invoice and in very small print (I had to use magnifying glasses to see) it said if I did not respond within 14 days, I would be charged $79.95. Not only did I not try the product, but in my opinion there was not $79.95 worth of product there to try. I returned the system unused in it's orginial pacaking demanding a refund. I also disputed these charges with my credit card co. My own credit card co ruled in favor of extremewhite and I was charged $79.95 for a product that was returned unused to extremewhite. I was left having to pay $79.95 plus shpping and handling x2 for absolutely nothing.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true. Please be aware of free trial offers and don't always count on your own credit card co to back you up, what do they care, as long as they get paid?
