Slimy Owners, Rude Staff, Bad Experience

I am a long time resident of Herndon Va. As a woman, I feel lots of pressure to look my best for work, family, friends etc. After my husband of 35 years passed away two ears ago I put on a bit of weight from the lonliness. When I approached Body By Geoff for personal training services I thought that I had found a very good gym to work out at and also a great management team to run that gym and offer support for my weight loss goals. I believe that I was fooled most of all by the owner, James. He is a very slick individual.

When you arrive he greets you warmly and then takes you in the back to do a health consultation. Next he makes promises to you about service, their commitment to you etc. I am a bit ashamed to say that he totally had me in the palm of his hand by the time I left that day. He even hugged me goodby.

After I paid him an enormous amount of money up front, the service abruptly ceased. He stopped smiling at me when I came to the gym and I even heard a comment that he made to another worker at the front desk as I passed by one day about older women needing to cover up their "fat buns". I assure you that I am always modest in my apprearance and being that I was the only woman in the gym at the time this was directed to me I am sure.

After several months of training at this facility, I was not feeling that my situation was improving. James offered to sell me more services including prepaid meals, electric hair removal etc. But did not seem to want to address the fact that I was just not satisfied with my experience with his service.

I did ask to end my association with him and his corporation but he declined and rudely showed me my contract. He told me that I should not have signed it if I was not sure that I wanted to be a long time customer. He also would not refund any of the money that I had paid him up front.

This company has saddened me and I feel that I have been ripped off hence this report. If a company must resport to taking from a widow who only wanted to feel better about themselves then shame on them.
