United Benefits Of America
Read this before you quit your current job

Health & Medicine

I am a former employee at united benefits of America. If you have interviewed with uba or are thinking of quiting your job for uba, please read my story. I heard the radio advertisement, called the number scheduled the interview. The interview process was typical and most of the time is spent with ceo/owner Tim Thomas explaining how you get paid. Tim gives quite the pitch diplaying how one can make huge money up front as well as residual. I bought into the pipe dream and was ready to quit my 70k annual job I've had for the past 7 years.

I also have a mortage, car payments and a family of four. The way Tim explained it was that if I met the minimum sales quota, I could replace my income from my current job. I'm a great salesman and have always been in the top bracket for selling in any sales positions. I notices the nice bmw's, suv's, and other luxury cars parked in the front of the business which is a good sign. The training lasted two days which should have lasted at least 1-2 weeks.

Then they throw you to the wolves and get you on the phones to close deals. I noticed that they didn't allow the training class to mingle with other employees until after the training is done. I hit the floor, phones and talked to 20 different employees, non manager employees to find out 2 questions. How long have they been employed with uba and have they met the minimum sales quota. I found out that all of the 20 people had been there less than 4 months. That means if you have been there 2 months you were a veteran. Out of the 20 people I talked to only 1 person was meeting the minimum sales quota. Beware: This place is a revolving door, and the nice cars were all owned by the managers.
