I purchased a nice looking JNY eyeglass frames from my optometrist. I even selected the kind with the reverse spring loaded hinges to prevent the frames from bending, but with very normal use (taking them off with one hand) I am constantly bending the frames to the point where they are loose on my head. I can re-bend the frames with my fingers (the metal is that soft). I know that the metal will eventually fatigue and break. I would avoid JNY frames at all costs. They are not strong enough to stand up to the usual forces that glasses need to withstand without distorting. I've been wearing glasses for 40 years and know what to expect in metal frames, these do NOT measure up.
