Ripoff Fraudulent and Forgery

I signed up for Mega Life and Health Insurance through an individual agent. I specifically told them I need physician coverage for my disabled, non-working spouse. She told me that would only cost me $25 per month along with the membership fee, and there was a 70/30 coinsurance for doctor's visits so a $100 visit would cost me $30 out of pocket co-pay. HA!

I received a prescription card in the mail for my husband that looked very legit with teir pricing from $10 - whatever. I was somewhat concerned that I had not received a card for doctor's visits. I called the rep to complain who tried to tell me that card could be used at the doctor (I'm not stupid, the card read "Association RX Prescription Card", and tells all about medicines and pharmacies.) When I disagreed with her she said she would check in to it and call me back. She promptly called me back to say, I had another card coming in the mail. Well, she was right! I recieved an "Eye Med" card for Vision Care!!!

I this time called Mega Life themselves because it was obvious the rep had no idea what she was even talking about, so why waste anymore time, right?! Mega informed me that I did not have physician coverage and that I could give them another $75, and they would be glad to "add" a discount of 20-60% on doctor's visits to my policy! EXCUSE ME? I have already paid almost $400 to specifically have physician coverage of 70/30, and NOW you want MORE money for LESS benifits?

I then looked into the book that was sent with the Vision Card. There were 4 (four) different places where SOMEONE FORGED MY HUSBAND'S SIGNATURE, and 6 (six) different places where SOMEONE FORGED HIS INITIALS!!! In the application process there was even something regarding a doctor's visit my husband had supposedly had with a doctor over 300 miles from my home where he "had a checkup, and all was reported fine" We have never even visited the town this doctor is in, let alone would we travel 300 miles to see a physician unless there was a MAJOR CRISIS, which there has NEVER been.

I demanded my money be returned IMMEDIATELY!!! They told me it would take 30 days. I explained that was unacceptable, and that they should refund my money TODAY! They finally said I would have my money back within 14 days, which is still unacceptable, and I am currently trying to get my bank to reverse the charges for me!

I have also contacted the State Insurance Commission, just as I promised the MEGA people I would do, and am filing a formal complaint.
