Nationwide Consumer Alert!!! Apria Healthcare Group Inc. Services 1.3 million patients annually. As I write this, I ponder how many other elderly, or other unsuspecting patients have been ripped off by their corrupt third party billing service?

Scrutinize your statements carefully as you most likely are getting overcharged, charged twice for the same monthly rental, billed for services that were previosuly paid two years ago and now recharged.

When you have the "pleasure" of reaching their customer service billing centers, hold on to your britches. You are going to get the biggest snow job of how the charges are valid, but in acutality are totally bogus. When you dispute it with Apria, they are not able to look at your billing statements. They choose to send you an account history which reads like greek. Promises to call you after they research the dispute are never returned.instead their practices are to turn the deceptive/bogus charges to a collection agency, which again you must dispute within 30 days or they stick. Call the collection agency to dispute the charges.

This is their complaint department. After many hours of aggravation, the most ridiculous excuses of how they justify these bogus charges, their inability of staff to use common sense coupled with mathematical skills, lies and unfullfilled promises to rectify the erroneous charges, JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL.

The corporate office is aware of the thrid party billing errors (so they say), the inaccuracy of reporting you to a collection agency, and will notify the collection agency to remove your debt, send you an apology and correct the bill.

THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM, AND THEY ARE AWARE OF IT (so they say). However you have to take action. I am certain that as the sun rises and sets everyday, thousands of their patients are being overcharged, double talked at the customer service billing centers, lied to and then reported to collections for bogus charges. This is how they get their deceitful charges to "stick". I wonder how much of their millions of dollars of profits are "bilked" out of the patients they serve.

Sad to know that they serve millions of elderly, disabled, sickly people and this is how they repay them for utilizing their services.

WARNING: Look for another provider

I think it is criminal to rip-off the elderly who struggle as it is to provide for their healthcare.

P.S. The biggest rip off is the machine brand new with a five year warranty costs the consumer $700 shipping included. Apria billed and received over $8,000 for rental of this machine.
