Ripoff Machine fell with my mother on it

After only being a member for a few days or so my mother was working out at Curves with me and my daughter and the leg press machine fell while she was seated and placing her feet on the pedal to push. The manager told her that she wasnt't the first and wouldn't be the last to fall on the machines. She fell on her right side and has suffered pinched nerves, herniated and bulging discs due to the fall.

She has since been to a neuro surgeon who has done injection treatment for the injuries. I contacted Curves and was ignored. No response ever can to me regarding their faulty equipment.

If you go to the Curves website you will see that the machines are not stable to keep from tipping over. The width of the feet are no more than 1 to 2 feet and this is not substantial to ensure the machine from tipping.

Has anyone else fell or been hurt at Curves?
