Misleading rates ripoff

I purchased a health insurance policy from this company three years ago. My premium started out at around $150 a month. Every six months a rate increase comes in the mail.in three years they doubled my premium. I contacted the company and spoke with a customer service representative about there possibly being a mistake. She advised me that there was no mistake. "They quote low rates online to get the new business" and then raise the premium to extremely high rates.

It should also be noted that if you buy health insurance, they always ask you about every time you have taken a medicine and every time you have seen a doctor. They have two years to cancel the policy if something has been omitted.

So if you buy this insurance at a low price, during the 1st two years if you have a heart attack, you may not be covered because you forgot about some antibiotic you took when you were 8.insurance companies know the insurance laws better than you and they know that they don't really have to pay some major claim during the 1st two years because the application is part of the policy and then they raise the rates to an amount that makes you look elsewhere and always find a lower rate. Unfortunately this is not illegal.

Think about this when considering a health insurance company.
