Ripoff Refused to provide needed medicine and customer help

I have been doing business with the Rite Aid Drug in Sylacauga, Al for many years and have paid them a large amount of money over the years.

I called their automated help line on Friday morning June 10th to request a refill on my prescription. I had been sick in the bed so I thought I would pick it up that day when I felt better. I was too sick to pick it up that day and I used my last pill that night. I must take the pills twice each day.

When I felt a little better the next day (Saturday) I went to the Pharmacy. The drive-thru window was closed so I went inside. I am disabled so this is a major inconvenience. When I got to the Pharmacy at the back of the store it was locked up. I asked the only associate in the store what was going on and she told me that the Pharmacist was out of town for Saturday and Sunday and I could come back Monday and pick up my medicine.
I told her I couldn't go that long without my meds and she told me to call 1-800-Rite Aid to tell the District manager about it.

I called the number and asked to talk to the District Manager and the woman took my info and said the Manager would call me back but he did not call or make any attempt to help. Rite Aid has my precription and my meds locked up so I can't even go somewhere else to get it filled. I wish that I could make them pay for the stress and anxiety they have caused me. The girl in the store said that people had been mad at her all morning because of the Pharmacy being closed.

She told me that the Pharmacist had told the District manager that he wouldn't be there that weekend and the Manager had not made arrangements to send anyone to open up.
