Rip-off! Kept taking my money after my contract expired

On April 16 I purchased a 1 year membership form World Gym that gave me 6 months free after my one-year. My contract is now over. When I joined World Gym, the person who signed me up never said anything about my membership automatically renewing after it expired. I was told that automatic renewal referred to the price. Plus I was not told my contract was going to be sold ASF International.

Had I known, I would never signed the contract. ASF International has a reputation for being a fraudulent company. I found out on December 15th that they were taking money out of my bank account, $33.00 on the 15th of November and another $33.00 on the 15th of December. I am not paying for these charges. The ASF did not provide any warning that they were going to take my money, not one phone call or letter. They are charging me for a gym membership that I had no idea existed, so it wasn't even used.

I spoke to a manager on December 16th she stated that her records showed I had not attended the gym in over 6 months. No one from the ASF made any attempt to contact to make me aware of the renewal. The ASF has no intention of reimbursing my $66.00 in fact they want to charge me for January as well because it takes them 30 days to process a cancellation. When I threatened to do a charge back with my bank I was told they would report the funds to my credit report.
