No Refund/Rude - Biobrite sunrise digital alarm clock

I contacted the company to ask how to proceed with a return after discovering the alarm clock I had purchased from them was defective. This began early in September. I received electronic responses, and also several emails confirming that my order had SHIPPED. I finally reached a human, and was told UPS would pick up my package. I let her know that I am not available to be at home during UPSs service hours, and asked for a different option. She refused to provide me with one, and then refused to respond to my emails. I finally got the package to UPS on 9/16, and on 9/17 an employee assured me by email that I would receive a full refund as soon as it arrived at their warehouse, and that they would cover shipping, and to check back on the 19th. Today (the 22nd) I received an email asking if I had RECEIVED MY ORDER-which was the original order placed on 8/7/08. They have not responded to my email, and I have not received a refund. They don't know what "customer service" means.
