Damage to carpet

I have been a regular customer for 3 years. The Maid came about a month ago to clean the house as usual, when she left I noticed a few bleach spots on my dark colored carpet. I called them and the representative, Otilia, asked me to fill out and return a damage claim form. So I did and thought maybe they will actually take care of this matter. Nope I was wrong! I received an email saying they hire independent contractors and they are not responsible for the damage and that I had to take it up with the maid. And that they informed the maid of this matter and she said, "she carries a small bottle of bleach. That there was no way she could have done it." That's a lie!
When we hired them 3 years ago they told us if the maid breaks/damages anything they will take care of the damage (that's why we trusted them). This is the first time we've had an issue but they are unwilling to pay for the damages. Yet they advertise they hire honest, trust worthy maids, it's all lies they just want your money!!! We canceled the maid service and advise you not to use them if you have things you don't want damaged. Did I mention the carpet the maid ruined is custom made.
