Today I went to Taco Bell on South Irby St.in Florence, SC. I walked in to buy a soft taco shell and when I pay I do not get a receipt which is fine. I proceed to go sit down and talk to one of the managers on break who I've known for years. As I'm talking to him I get thirsty so I walk up to the register to buy a drink nobody is up there so I grab a small drink since they are right there. I know that was a mistake. I fill up the cup and walk back to my seat to continue my conversation with my friend who is a manager at this store. While I'm sitting there another manager walks up and demands that I pay for the drink I just stole according to her as she yells at me in front of the whole store. I tell her I clearly wasn't stealing as I went back to sit down and didn't run out the door. I ask how much do I owe she says 2 dollars. I then pay her and she puts the money in her pocket then walks away. When my friend was off break I go up to the register and ask for my receipt and change as a small drink is only $1.08. She precedes to yell at me to leave her store or she will call the cops to arrest me for stealing the drink. I leave so she could calm down then call the store 30 min later to ask if she was ready to give me my change and she just hangs up on me. I could understand if I went up there took the drink then as I was leaving the store to accuse me of stealing, but I was sitting with a manager waiting for him to go back up there so he could ring up the drink.
