Defective car stereo

I bought a car stereo with cd player and all components necessary to have it installed in my vehicle. The bag with my purchases sat in my office for a few months before I decided to install it. After getting everything out the wiring was confusing. I called the store hoping to speak to somebody in the installation area but they refused to take my call saying they don't offer technical advice. I went to Best Buy where the technician actually offered to wire it for me for free, but I didn't want to take advantage of him so on a Friday I paid him to install it for me. The following Thursday the sound went out on me. I went back to Best Buy and the tech told me it appeared to be very poor quality and it appeared to have already failed. Less than one week. I explained everything to the district office and they had the store manager Mike Goodman give me a call. He refused to work with me on any kind of refund or store credit and said the company had already gone out out business. I found him to be quite pompous as if they were doing the customers a favor by letting them shop in his store as opposed to the other way around. I explained that it was not right that the customer take the risk for their decision to stock inferior products from suppliers with substandard quality who go out of business in short order. He basically thumbed his nose at me and snidely remarked "is there anything else I can do for you?". A I told him he hadn't done anything for me except insult me and I wouldn't be doing business with Frys Electronics any longer. He could have cared less. Bad company, bad customer service, and bad products! Save yourself some grief and go shop somewhere reputable where your business is appreciated.
