Trouble with TV return

On 11/14 I purchased a 24" LCD COBY TV from Best Buy.com. On 12/28 I brought TV back to a Best Buy store for either repair or return. The TV would no longer power on. I was referred to the Geek Squad where an employee confirmed that I was within the 45 day return/warranty period and that there would be no problem repairing it. He took it to a back room, then, within 5 minutes returned with it and said, "Sorry, we can't service it here, you have to send it back to Best Buy yourself. He gave me an 800 number to call for further instructions. At that time I was perplexed, but there was a long line behind me and I didn't know what to do. I went out into the parking lot, called the number, gave customer service the information, and was told that someone would be calling me within a week with instructions. I was perplexed yet again, but they told me that I would receive a new TV and be given a return label to send the broken one back. So I waited... A week went by and no one called. I called customer service again and, after taking a while to pull up my records and informing me that I was now past the return deadline, I was beyond angry. I had to reiterate the issue all over again and help her understand that I had been trying for over a week to get a new TV. This time, the customer service representative told me that they can't send someone out because of its size and I can't return it to them, so I need to bring it in to a Best Buy store. REALLY? After telling her that I already did that with no success, she gave me Coby TV's technical support number to call. WHAT? I just want a TV that works and I want Best Buy to remedy this problem.
