I teach video production at a local high school, when our main panasonic dv-ag7 camcorder needed service. I was referred to Buckeye Electronics by the sales person at Dodd Camera Store) formally Click Camera)

I brought our school camera to the store on a Saturday. The shop is a little store front business and is completly littered and cluttered with customer electronics that have been dropped off. Broken tv's, dvd players and camcorders are all over the floor and on the counter. This should of been a tell tale sign that this is a place that has bitten off to much business to handle.

I told him (Brett) what was wrong with my camera and he said the board was blown. It was $45 for him to diagnose it. I gave him $100 dollars and when I got home I noticed he short changed me $5 bucks. He then said he would call in 5 to 7 days.

I never spoke to him (Brett) again! After 2 weeks of no call-back I call buckeye to see about the status of the camera. From then on he only had a teen/young girl answer calls who doesn't know a thing about electronics. She kept saying Brett would call me back latter in the day, but he never called once to tell me is plans to service my camera.

This ordeal went on with the unknowledgable sales girl for several weeks. She said she found a replacement board online to order. But the next week she said she couldn't. It was never looked at.

When I picked up the still broken unit, they did not know the part number of the replacement board and I never spoke to the electrician again and he took me for $50 bucks and never contacted me. I am trying to prevent any teachers or school media staff from getting ripped off by this shotty operation.
