Ripoff purchased a laptop hard drive that doesn't work

I purchased a laptop hard drive from Saitech online and paid by debit card. I received the hard drive in a timely manner but it would not work. The drive could not be partitioned or formated. DOS returned a No Fixed Disk Present error message.

I sent an online request for an RMA number and received one in a reasonable amount of time but not really as quickly as I would have hoped. I boxed up and returned the drive to the company at my expense per their policy and have not heard any response from them for weeks. I have requested a status response twice via email and have heard nothing.

The drive was about $65 with shipping and it isn't really worth spending a lot of effort to try to get something back when we are on opposite coasts. I am reporting this because I feel that it is my only method of closure in the incident and also to help alert others who might be thinking of purchasing from Saitech.
