AT&T Wireless
Ripoff! Dishonest, insane billing rip-off!

Hello All,

Last May I purchased a Motorola t720 phone from AT&T Wireless. I was very happy because I have been wanting this phone forever and was also ecstatic to try the new GSM system.

I was happy for two months, then my phone started acting up, dropping calls, and shutting off by itself. To top that off I had a 400 bill that I paid!!! I dont have the best job but every check I made went to that bill. AT&T Wireless suggested I switch to TDMA (their digital service) so I had done so but had to pay full retail for a nokia phone.

As the months went by the nokia phone was fine but then that thing started to mess up to, And ever since early this year I heard of the Cingular/AT&T merge. When I called AT&T Wireless, they said GSM had improved way more and its a great service to be on. I wanted to go back to GSM so that I could have all the features, internet access, etc. But they told me that I could'nt go back to the GSM system because of the bill not paid last year!!! And they want me to pay even more.

I have full proof that I paid this bill, there are the copies of checks, as well as the collections company who thinks its crazy because they called AT&T numerous amounts of times telling them I paid this bill long ago. AT&T refuses to believe any of this and called the collections agency themselves and they said I paid it off, but they still want me to go through he trouble of faxing old checks that I have to go and archive! They said I made no payments at all, and that I cannot be on GSM until the bill (which I paid last year) is paid!!!

They charge enough money as it is, and I have lost so much money in this stupid rut! I know I paid I have proof and backup but AT&T Wireless will not budge!
